Set to do what MJ Cole did for speed garage, Goldie did for drum n bass or more recently what Dizzee’s done for grime – Leed’s producer T2 from the Northern Bassline/Niche scene looks set to pioneer the sound on a commercial level with his new single ‘Heartbroken’.

Released as a limited edition 12” months ago all 1000 copies flew off record shelves and jumped onto play lists across the country including 1Xtra, Galaxy, Kiss and Radio 1. ‘Heartbroken’ is currently the biggest track from the emerging Bassline Niche scene up North - which was coined to describe tunes heard playing at a popular Sheffield spot called… you guessed it, Niche. However it was only a matter of time before popular Dj’s - including EZ and Pete Tong - clocked on that ‘Heartbroken’ was a national hit and started championing the tune all over the UK. With over 1.2 million plays of the monster single on You Tube to date ‘Heartbroken’ is only the beginning for this exciting new talent.
